Dr. David Kipp

CLINICAL HAEMATOLOGIST

MBBS, BMedSc, FRACP, FRCPA

David graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2002 and underwent advanced training in haematology at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Alfred. He undertook a two-year fellowship in bone marrow transplantation at The Alfred in 2011 and 2012 and started working at University Hospital Geelong as a consultant haematologist in 2013. He has been a member of the Precision Haematology team since 2021 and also holds a position as a clinical haematologist and bone marrow transplant physician at The Alfred.

He looks after patients with a wide range of benign and malignant haematological conditions. His special interests include the management of myelofibrosis and other myeloproliferative disorders and allogeneic stem cell (bone marrow) transplantation.

His current research examines the molecular mechanisms of chronic inflammation and fibrosis in myelofibrosis. He is a member of the Haematology Society of Australia & New Zealand, the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group, the Bone Marrow Transplant Society of Australia and New Zealand and the American Society of Hematology.”
