Shaun is a clinical and laboratory haematologist, bone marrow transplant and chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CART) physician with a particular interest in malignant haematology. He is the head of myeloid diseases at Alfred Health where he leads the acute leukaemia and myeloid disorders program and an associate professor in the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, Monash University.
Shaun has particular expertise in the management of patients with Acute Leukaemia and Myelodysplasia and in the evaluation of patients for cellular therapies including CART and allogeneic stem cell transplants. He has an active research profile in Acute Leukaemia, is co-chair of the Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia working party of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group and is a principal investigator in several clinical trials in Acute Leukaemia and Myelodysplasia.
He consults at Precision Haematology in East Melbourne and provides treatment at both Epworth Freemasons and Epworth Richmond hospitals and is available to consult on both malignant and benign haematological conditions.
