In her role as specialist haematology nurse, Jeanne is a member of the interdisciplinary team, and as such, participates collaboratively in the assessment, development, and implementation of the plan of care for adult haematology patients, according to accepted nursing practice standards. She also provides interventions, and therapies such as medications, monitoring responses to treatment, education and teaching to both patients and their families. As a specialist haematology nurse, she acts as a navigator for patients and provides support throughout their cancer journey.
